IJ Driver privacy policy

IJ Driver is the delivery app used by independent contractor drivers who deliver orders for Irie Jerk Restaurant, 6472 NW 5th Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used. The app is only for drivers we have onboarded; it is not for customers or the general public.

What we collect

Account details: your name and mobile number, which we set up when you join, and the PIN you sign in with (stored only as a one-way hash).

Work activity: when you go on and off shift, which delivery offers you accept, pickup and delivery times, and the pay for each delivery. This is what runs the dispatch and pays you.

Push notification token: a device token issued by Apple or Google so we can alert you when a delivery is available. It is deleted when you sign out.

Customer delivery details for orders you accept (name, address, phone, order items) are shown to you only for that delivery. Please don't copy or keep them.

We do not track your location. “Navigate” simply opens your maps app; we never receive your GPS position.

How we use it

To offer you deliveries, coordinate pickup with the kitchen, tell customers their order is on the way, calculate and pay your earnings, and produce tax forms (1099) when required. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the app for us: Vercel and Supabase (hosting and database), Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google and Apple Push Notification service (notifications), and Resend (email). Customers see your first name when you are delivering their order. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

Delivery and payout records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes. To deactivate your account or request deletion of your personal details, call the restaurant at (954) 664-7825 or email tony@iriejerkfl.com. Signing out of the app removes your push token immediately.

Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Sessions are signed and expire after 60 days. Sign-in PINs are hashed, never stored in plain text.

Children

The app is for adult contractors only and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
